Medical Alarm System

Medical alarm systems are the perfect answer should you require round the clock assistance in an emergency. As we get on in life our body tells us to slow down a little because we are not as fit as we once was. Our mind may be fit and healthy but we are unfortunately prone to simple accidents and falls when we least expect it. Seniors still crave to be independent and they do not like to be a burden on the health service or relatives even though in an ideal World they would have round the clock care. Relatives have their own lives to live and although they may call on the telephone everyday and come around to see you on a regular basis it cannot provide the 24/7 health protection that you need.

The most suitable solution to this is to install a medical alarm system in the home. This unobtrusive state-of-the-art system can fitted in a matter of minutes with minimum fuss. There are basically two parts to the standard medical alarm system. The person would wear a small medical alarm device either around their neck just like a necklace, around the wrist just like small watch or attached to belt buckle or on a key fob. On the device will be one easy to press button which should only be activated in an emergency such as an accident, fall or if you are an unfortunate victim of crime.

The second part of the medical alarm system is a speakerphone monitor which is usually located on the wall or just sits conveniently on a table top. This speakerphone needs to be connected to an electrical power supply and a telephone socket. When the button on the medical alarm device is activated it will send a signal to the monitor. This will instantly dial the call centre where highly trained staff are waiting to tend to your emergency. You do not need to speak into a telephone, this is done remotely because you may have fallen a long distance away from the speakerphone. This device is made ultra sensitive so the call centre will be able to converse with you no matter where you are located in your home.

The call centre staff will take the details of your emergency and take appropriate action. This could mean they alert the ambulance service who will send a paramedic. If the emergency is fire or flood related then they will inform the Fire services. If you have a been a victim of crime then the police will be contacted. It could be any one of these options or a combination depending on the emergency. Medical alarm systems are the perfect choice for providing round the clock life saving protection for your loved ones.
