Medical Alarm Tag Necklace
Anyone who has serious health issues such as
diabetes or allergies should wear a medical
alarm tag necklace at all times. These cost
effective charms can be the difference between
life and death. This is because of the life
saving information that you find on the tags.
This could be related to a wide range of
ailments that need to come to the attention of
the emergency services. Can you imagine having a
serious eye injury? Well adding the fact that
you wear contact lenses would assist the medical
personnel to treat you. Can you imagine having a
heart attack? If you have a pacemaker or have
recently had some form of heart operation would
also benefit the emergency services.
While the basic medical alarm tag necklaces
had the health related issues engraved on the
back there was a problem with space. There is
only so much information that you can place on a
back of a small disk or pendant. You could not
make them too big or cumbersome because people
would not wear them. They need to be small and
attractive to the eye which is why them have
become medical jewellery in many peoples eyes.
But that does not detract from their usefulness.
It does not matter what design is on the front
as long as the most important health related
information is engraved on the back.
Other designs allow for the information to be
written on paper. This would then be rolled up
and inserted into a capsule or folded up and
placed into a clasp type box depending on the
design. As the information was written on paper
you could include more details. The more
additional details you can have about maybe
blood type, doctor contact info and the names of
your next of kin would only be beneficial to the
emergency services so they could treat you
better and more quickly.
There are some new designs of medical alarm
tag necklace on the market. These are a USB
compatible design. You insert the USB tag into
your computer, complete the details on the form
and save it. You then attach it to the necklace.
If you did have an accident the emergency
services would know immediately what it was and
see all of your information on a laptop or
computer. There is no software to install. This
small tag just inserts into the USB port at the
back of any computer.
